Meadows Montessori is a private school founded by TJ and Kim Seoni in 2010. Kim received her B.A. degree from the University of Maryland in 1991 and left her position as a Marketing Director in the Frederick community in 2005 to follow her passion for children and Montessori education. Through her own two children’s experience as Montessori students, Kim witnessed the deep impact that the Montessori Method offered them in learning deeply to attain so many valuable life skills! Montessori nurtured them by allowing their unique talents and skills to unfold naturally, supporting their innate motivation and interests in a non-competitive, peaceful environment. Kim’s interest in Montessori education grew and she developed a passion for this learning method, opening a Montessori environment in Montgomery County in 2005, teaching in the Primary classroom, and receiving her M.A. in Montessori Leadership. Kim has been a Montessori teacher and business owner for over 21 years, a wife and mother of two children, a member of the International Montessori Council, a member of the American Montessori Society, a member of the Organization for Child Care Directors in Montgomery County, and is involved in continuous professional development opportunities.
