Welcome to Meadows Montessori

Welcome to Meadows Montessori in Frederick, Maryland, where we provide exceptional care and education for children ranging from infants to primary-age. At Meadows Montessori, your child’s safety, well-being, and holistic development are our top priorities. Our highly trained and nurturing staff create a warm and stimulating environment that aligns with Montessori principles, encouraging growth and development in every age group.

In our infant program, we offer a loving and secure space with experienced caregivers who cater to each child’s individual needs. Our Montessori approach for infants emphasizes sensory exploration and motor skills development, creating a foundation for future learning. As children grow, they smoothly transition into our pre-primary program, where they engage in activities designed to foster creativity, independence, and curiosity. Our Montessori-trained educators guide children through hands-on learning experiences that promote selfdiscovery and a love for learning. Children continue their Montessori journey, focusing on more advanced concepts and skills in our primary program. Our carefully prepared environment supports their natural desire to learn, encouraging both academic and personal growth.

Located in the heart of Frederick, our center offers a convenient and educational solution for families seeking exceptional childcare for their children. Join our Montessori family and watch your child thrive in a supportive, educational, and loving environment where they can grow and learn with confidence!

Meet Our Director

My name is Paulina Mabhugu, the Head of School at Meadows Montessori! I have 30 years of experience in education, including 25 years in Montessori. Discovering the Montessori Method was a transformative experience, and I’ve trained as a Montessori Guide with the American Montessori Society. I actively contribute to my church’s “Warm Nights” ministry and volunteer at the Maryland Zoo where my daughter works. In my free time, I enjoy exploring historical sites, engaging in hydroponic gardening, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I look forward to continuing this impactful work in nurturing young minds and serving the community.
