Room 2

Hi! I am Ms. Bev, I live in a small country side town in Frederick County and love being a part this community! My husband, Terry, and I have been married for 40 years and have two adult sons. Our oldest son is married and lives at the Outer Banks and our youngest lives closer to home. We enjoy traveling to the Outer Banks and spending time with our children. I spend my time at home with our three pets Star, Molly and Comet. Comet was adopted from a shelter in Texas this past January, Molly has been with us since 2010 and Star came to us in 2015 and is a great travel companion. I grew up on a sheep farm and enjoy have animals around me, I choose dogs and cats because I thought they would be easier; who knows maybe someday I’ll add some little farm animals but right now I’m happy taking care of them and practicing the dog training skills that I learned. I also enjoy riding on my ATV. Riding the trails is beautiful, peaceful and exhilarating, I can ride for hours. I’m working on training Comet to ride with me. I have been working with children for over 36 years and have been part of the Montessori Method of learning for the past 26 years. I began working with children when I started my Family Child Care business. Then after ten years they all grew up and I learned about a new Montessori School opening up, I applied and my Montessori career began. Over the years I have been a part of the opening of 2 Montessori’s Schools, worked with ages from birth to 6 years old, mentored staff, and worked in administration. I have enjoyed working and learning about the growth and development of children throughout my career. I earned my BA in Child and Family Development at American Public University and am Montessori trained. I love to see the growth that takes place within each child. It is very rewarding to help guide them toward independence and seeing them accomplish their goals. I feel blessed to be part of such an important time in these young children’s lives! I look forward to many years of planting the seeds of lifelong learning.
