Meadows Montessori is a place where each child learns respect, responsibilities, independence and logic. Moreover, it is a place where they instill confidence; a place where each child is nurtured both socially and academically, and all in a loving environment to develop these strengths.
You have obviously put much thought into the design of your facility and it promotes calm, organized learning with just the right amount of stimulation. Our daughter is much better at putting away toys at home, cleaning up after herself, and I know that it is a result of good habits she is learning at school (because I sure couldn’t get her to do that before!).
[My daughter] has started giving me lessons and instructions when we are at home, and she says, “I believe in you, Mommy.” I know she can only use these phrases because someone has been regularly saying them to her; building her self-esteem through positive messages.
Kim and TJ focus on making this school an extension of the family, always open and available to listen. Most importantly, the kids feel valued and special by their teachers, and vice versa. We appreciate all the hard work it takes to make this school so special.
[The children] are introduced to artists and authors that preschoolers typically wouldn’t recognize, like Paul Giamatti and Mark Twain. We see our children’s confidence growing as they learn to appreciate the satisfaction of completing work for its own sake, as opposed to other reward systems.
Meadows provides a warm and caring atmosphere, but it is also challenging and fun. The kids have a chance to learn at their own pace, which can be really impressive! It’s always a pleasant surprise when you realize your kids know more than you thought they knew.
