I know first-hand the benefits gained from the Montessori learning environment as I attended a Montessori preschool where I was a Primary student; my mom worked as an assistant in the Montessori classroom. My Montessori teacher, Ms. Rina Chakarbarty, was actually the person who ignited my love of nature and animals, living and once-was living. Not only was she my preschool Montessori teacher but is also a long-time family friend. I have always connected with the Montessori philosophy and have supported my wife Kim’s desire to become an Early Childhood Montessori teacher and business owner.
I graduated from the U of MD School of Pharmacy in 1992 and worked in this industry for 10 years. I then pursued a business opportunity where I operated 15 retail mobile phone locations in the D.C. area. Currently, I work with my dad on home renovating projects, and as President of Meadows Montessori, I handle Human Resources and the financial operations of our family-owned business. I am proud to make a difference in people’s lives!
In my spare time, I enjoy watching and cheering on the Washington Football Team, Maryland Terrapins football & basketball teams, reading, playing video games, and watching home-improvement and fishing reality shows! As our two young-adult children navigate their futures during this crazy COVID year, I find myself wondering what the world will be for future generations, and I appreciate all the work, passion, and love that Kim devotes to the living environment that IS Meadows Montessori! Our school community is very special!
